Job Purpose
This position reports directly to the General Manager but has a communication link to the President with quality matters. This position is accountable for the success and maintenance of Aurora’s quality system and other related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality System
- Identify and provide quality training
- Perform/coordinate internal quality assurance audits for shop and vendors
- Monitor that corrective actions are completed and effective
- Assist with performing vendor assessments
- Generate and maintain records by logging NCR’s using “Unipoint” system
- Generate and maintain records for tools & equipments owned by company and employee using “Unipoint” system
- Ensure all tools & equipments used during process are calibrated and have sticker showing calibration and due date
- Generate records and maintain document control, records using “Unipoint” system
- Provide update monthly report to General Manager/management on NCR’s(# of scrap parts)
- Prepare spread sheet for Customer and Employee satisfaction survey reports
- Coordinate the Management Review of the Quality System
- Communicate quality issues to any involved/affected personnel
- Ensure conformance to the ISO 9001-2008 Standard & its effective usage throughout all processes
- Perform QC manager’s responsibilities as and when required.
- Other related duties as required
Documentation
- Control, maintain, review and continuously improve the Quality System, Manual and Quality Procedures
- Provide guidance for identifying and maintaining adequate work instructions and quality plans throughout the organization
Records
- Collect, index, file and maintain quality records & generate reports for management
- To random sample quality documents for adequacy of requirements
- Review and communicate Internal Audit results
- Record and maintain Non-conformance, tools and equipments and document/record control using unipoint system for reconciliation and traceability.
- Other related duties as required
Job Qualifications
- High School/College technical diploma with equivalent management experience in a manufacturing or machine shop/industry
- Three to five years machine shop experience as supervisor or QA/QC coordinator preferably within an accredited system

Working Conditions
- Primarily but not restricted to indoor industrial work setting as well as a machine shop environment
- Occasional all weather on and off-site outdoor work
- Other outside activity includes visits to customers, vendors and meetings that may require travel by air or automobile
- Overtime may be required
- Routinely required to lift heavy items
